Awareness
One of our objectives is to bring to the public’s attention the definition and effects of acquired brain injury and its incidence and prevalence.
Brain Injury: It’s not just an injury – it’s people. People whose lives have been changed forever by the devastating effects of brain injury.
The effects of brain injury are far reaching, touching many that include: survivors, spouses, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, significant others, friends, neurologists, nurses, service coordinators, occupational therapists, legislators, advocates, brain injury association members, certified homecare aides and many others from a host of disciplines and backgrounds. We are a community, a community of people working together to raise brain injury awareness.
