THE RIGHT CARE, AT THE RIGHT TIME, WITH THE RIGHT PROVIDER
June 20th, 2018 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Fogolar Furlan, Windsor Room

Mainstream awareness of the long-term impact of concussion on function has resulted in significant growth in the number of clinics and disciplines offering “Concussion Care”. These programs are popping-up in a health care system that has not yet developed recommended standards of practice for concussion treatment.
The result is a degree of uncertainty for clinicians and consumers regarding: what a realistic and necessary pathway of care is, how to identify appropriate providers who should be delivering care, and how services should be organized within the clinic and plan of care.

During this CAN’T MISS FULL DAY SEMINAR, a representative of the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation will answer the above questions through: practical application and review of ONF Standards of Practice for Post-Concussion Care [Guidelines for clinic based programs], discuss the implementation and importance of interdisciplinary care teams, and examine the brand new ONF Treatment Guidelines for Persistent Symptoms (Concussion).

If you run a medical or rehabilitation clinic, offer/plan to offer Concussion Care, or refer your patients to this type of programming this is a must attend session.
