Individuals with an acquired brain injury are invited to this monthly program. It’s an opportunity for survivors to meet other survivors – people who understand and don’t judge, and to socialize in an open and relaxed environment.
There is no need for a referral and but it is recommended that you pre-register as there are often materials involved in some of the activities. There is usually no cost for the monthly social, but there are occasions when in advance you will be asked to pay a small fee.
Several times a year the group is invited to special outings such as pottery making, dinner, bowling, comedy shows and sports games. These dates vary so check the Google calendar or call BIAWE at 519-981-1329. e may be a cost, but it is at a reduced rate.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person programs are cancelled. The social will be offered on-line via teleconferencing via ZOOM. You must register to sign in if you are not on the regular call list. You can use your computer, tablet or cell phone to get in.
